About Me
Creativity on a Budget
I am naturally a creative thinker who constantly comes up with solutions and ideas for how to do things better. I have been redesigning since I was a little girl. From secretly moving the furniture and changing the displays on the shelves in my little bedroom, to getting sewing and craft tips from my mom, all the way to roofing the house with my dad. This passion for home improvement and interior decorating led me to use my creativity throughout the years. I jump at the opportunity to help my friends and family solve challenges in their homes. It wasn't until I owned my own house, however, that I really thrived on the before and after results of home improvement.
Once the dream of owning a home came true, the real challenges began. How to make a space look beautiful with little or no money? (This is where all of the creativity I had been nurturing throughout the years really gets to shine.) It is why my friends affectionately refer to me as the “MacGyver of the craft world”, designing something out of nothing, as they say.
The Challenge
My experience as a nanny, daycare provider and a mother has provided me with years of organizing experience. Children are an organizational nightmare. From managing the enormous amount of "things" required by the smallest members of a household; to keeping a space together these people want to continuously undo. This is the challenge I love. It is rewarding to see a previously dysfunctional space being used more efficiently. It brings a smile to my face every time.
The Ultimate in Staging
My career experience as an artist, working for a well known event planner, has lead me to creating centerpieces, signage, room props and numerous other details for Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteen's and Corporate Events… The ultimate in Staging!
Throughout the years I have been staging various aspects of my life, whether it is a room in my home or one of the many parties I have planned. It seems only natural for this obsession to grow into a Home Staging, Redesign and Home Organizing career.
